On November 3, our colleague Alberto Barranca, researcher at AIMPLAS participated in a workshop organised by Glaukos and Bio Plastics Europe about unlocking the potential of bio-based and biodegradable plastics.

There, Alberto talked about the challenges in the field of standardization applied to UPLIFT technology to detail the UPLIFT roadmap to solve standardization gaps. “This will serve not only for the UPLIFT  project but also for other projects based on the biological-chemical recycling of plastic waste” mentioned Alberto during the presentation.

The objective of the workshop was to involve the most relevant projects related to bio-based plastics as well as to discuss the most urgent challenges to be addressed to unlock the potential of bio-based and biodegradable plastic.
