On October 4, the Plastic recyclability and circular economy online conference counted on the presence of Anders Daugaard, Associate Professor from the Technical University of Denmark and Rajni Hatti-Kaul, Professor from the Lund University.

The session was revolving around plastics in a circular economy where researchers were invited to briefly present their work on specific topics such as green building blocks for plastics of the future, design of plastics for circular economy and emerging recycling technologies.

There, Rajni and Anders introduced the concept, the impacts and the general objectives of the UPLIFT project. The session was held online and hosted by the French Embassy in Stockholm, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA), the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research (Mistra), through the research programme Sustainable Plastics and Transition Pathways (STEPS), and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH).
